this is my first time reading your blog, and i found this first post very moving. not only do i have the same apprehensions as you expressed in meeting my heros, (they’ll question my motives!) but i am also a writer and appreciate your simple and lovely inspiration, and call to the work ethic. thank you.

I’m so glad you bit the bullet and went to the party, anyway. Thanks for sharing your story with us. Very inspiring and encouraging, it’s like that saying that 80% of success is just showing up. Maybe someday you’ll do the same for some young writers, too.
