Brilliant expansion and application of Ruskin’s ideas. Having just read Matthew Crawford’s “Shop Class as Soulcraft”, this resonates clearly. I believe there is a societal shift afoot! BTW, your blog is both beautiful and important.

As usual, thoughtful, insightful, revealing. I forwarded this to a couple of co-workers as an inspirational start to the week. This quote jumped out for one:
“Humans are a motley bunch. We resist programming. And these traits go hand-in-hand with human “majesty.””
This so succinctly reveals one of the root reasons why there is so much underlying discontent in the ‘typical’ work place. So much energy is spent trying to make us into somebody else when we just simply want to be ourselves, flaws and all.
