LOVE your writing. I’m adding you to my blog list for others to find inspiration. I, too, had a very lucrative career and slowly gave up one client after another, keeping only a few quality jobs, to pursue the path of my dreams – writing. At the end of my journey here on earth, I don’t think I will say,”Gee, I could have been making more money.”

This is so great, Mark. Thank you for sharing. I wish I’d written it, but instead I’ll just tell people to come here and read it.

I’m pursuing a similar writing lifestyle and hoping to write my own first book over the next 12-15 months. My book is not a novel, so hopefully I won’t need 60-odd query letters before finding a good agent and publisher, but of course nothing is guaranteed except hard work.

Anyway, keep it up!

I can only surmise from the tone of your words that you’re happy in walking your current path, yes? I’m sure a fatter wallet would be welcome, but I think many take an empty life in trade for that full wallet. I’ve been one of them, but no more. I’ve set the goal to make ends meet by working my craft – music. Reading the comments of people like you is an inspiration to me and gives me hope to continue on what currently looks to be an uncertain and possibly foolhardy course. Thank you for your inspiration.
